As of August 2016, U.S. Youth Soccer has updated their Youth Player Development Initiatives that went into effect nationwide as of August 2017. With nationwide adoption of small-sided games to further improve quality of play, this has resulted in changes in several areas, including the total number of on-field players, goal size, and more.
Although not mandatory, different and specific small-sided goal sizes are recommended for youth divisions (12 years old and younger). Return to the top of this page to shop by different player divisions, or download our print-friendly goal size guide.
